Biff's Automotive Detailing
Congrats! You got one right! At least, we hope you get this one right; we made the first one super-obvious for you.
As you've no doubt guessed, Biff's is the only automotive service to consider when you need to polish your flying, time-travelling Delorean. (But you have to make sure he puts on the second coat of wax.)
Movie It's From:
Back to the Future (1985)
Of course, it's the logo of the automotive detailing business Biff Tannen owns in Back to the Future. That's in the alternate timeline where everything in the universe was made better by punching Biff in the face. The shirt is perfect to wear on Future Day (October 21).
Okay, okay--that one was too easy. As Fezzik would say, "I just want you to feel you're doing well." Even so, it's still a great, retro, fictional brand shirt that lets everyone in on the joke.
Memories are Made at Camp Crystal Lake
This one shouldn't be too hard for horror fans. Camp Crystal Lake is the setting of this early slasher franchise. It features an appearance by a pre-Footloose Kevin Bacon and a whole lotta promiscuous teens.
Campers are cut down one-by-one, and not necessarily by a man in a mask... Give up?
Movie It's From:
Friday the 13th (1980)
Yes, Friday the 13 tells the legend of Camp Crystal Lake, haunted by the angry spirit of a boy who drowned because of irresponsible camp counselors. The boy, Jason Voorhees, returns from the grave (as a hugely full-grown man, apparently) for some slicey-dicey vengeance. Although Jason doesn't get his signature mask till Part III, and the killer in the first movie is actually *SPOILERS* Jason's crazy mother.
Later, Jason goes to Manhattan, Hell, Elm Street, even space. That is, if you are still watching at that point.
Show your holiday spirit next Friday the 13th with your very own Camp Crystal Lake T-shirt, complete with little Jason and Mrs. Voorhees rowing across the lake.
You probably guessed that one too. But get ready: from here on out, we're on hard mode. Y'all ready for this?
Shop Smart. Shop... S-Mart
Sounds familiar, right? This one is also from a horror movie where murderous beings rise from the grave. The film centers around demons, zombies and an idiot protagonist armed with a magic book and a boomstick.
And it's the second movie on our list to feature a time-traveling car flying through the air.
Movie It's From:
Army of Darkness (1992)
The logo and slogan are from Sam Raimi's hilarious horror-comedy-adventure, Army of Darkness. S-Mart is the fictitious department store protagonist Ash works at after saving the world from a plague of Deadites in a medieval war. Though, by the look of his new TV show, his work is not quite finished.
Bushwood Country Club
Bushwood is a pleasant, upscale country club in Nebraska, if not for the incompetent greenskeeper and gopher infestation. Actually, the club shows off it's wild side in this ridiculous tale of sex, drugs and golf.
Movie It's From:
Caddyshack (1980)
Bushwood Country Club is the setting of the 1980 sports comedy Caddyshack. Pay homage to this irreverent classic with one of these retro shirts, and not by throwing your candy bar into the pool.
Shermer 85
Question: What do a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal have in common? Detention. It's more therapeutic than you might think.
Movie It's From:
The Breakfast Club (1985)
Shermer High is the fictitious Illinois High School where the 5 members of the "Breakfast Club" are sentenced to detention in John Hughes' iconic, comedy-drama cult film. Obviously, 85 stands for the year the movie was released, but it could be fun to wear it at a sporting event and see if anyone gets it.
Benny's Burgers
In this 80s sci-fi classic, a small town in Indiana transforms into a hotbed of otherworldly beings and ruthless government cover-ups. Benny's Burgers becomes a crime scene when a supernaturally gifted young girl narrowly escapes death at the hands of a corrupt government agent. In order to save her new friends and the town, the girl must use her powers to destroy the monsters and close the portal to the other side for good!
Movie It's From:
Stranger Things (2016)
Psych! Did we get you? Benny's Burgers and that description are from the new 80s-retro-themed show, Stranger Things.
This hit Netflix series is basically a new 80s classic. It takes place in the 80s and has the look and feel (and bouncy soundtrack) of a classic 80s sci-fi-flick.
Okay, it was still kind of a dirty trick, sorry. But it's a retro show and these are retro shirts so we thought it made sense.
Those who've seen the show know: every day's a good day to binge watch both seasons of Stranger Things. Wear this next time you want to grab a friend and spend 14 hours and 10 minutes on the couch.
Also available, the Palace Arcade, Hawkins Middle School and Hawkins AV Club retro shirts from Stranger Things.
